8:00am - 12:00pm Amateur Radio Exams - W.C.A.R.S. VE Testing

Signups begin at 8:00am. Testing is from 9:00am - Noon.

You Must Bring the Following:

  • $10 Fee - Exact Amount - Cash Only

  • A Valid Picture ID (Driver's License, etc.)

  • FCC Registration Number (FRN) and Valid Email  New Requirement.

  • Your Original and One Copy of Your Ham License and/or Certificate of Successful Completion of Examination (CSCE)

  NEW FCC RULES:  New licensees need an FCC Registration Number (FRN) before the examination to provide to the VEs on the license application. See the FCC Video at fcc.gov/rofrn to learn how to get your FRN. An email address is also required to receive a link to an electronic license copy whenever a license is issued or changed. The FCC no longer provides paper license documents.

8:15am - 2:00pm Scouts Radio Merit Badge Class

Scouts are invited to earn their Radio Merit Badge and learn about Amateur Radio in this exciting class. All Scouts and Scouters (leaders) in uniform can pick up their free Scouting Admission Ticket* at the Indoor Ticket Booth.

*The free Scouting Admission Ticket is not eligible for prize drawings.

Summits On The Air (SOTA) Booth

SOTA is an award program for radio amateurs and shortwave listeners encouraging portable operations in mountainous areas. SOTA is designed for everyone - just for mountaineers! There are awards for activators  who ascend to the summits and chasers who either operate from home, a local hilltop or other summits.
